Boise County Busted Mugshots is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody status, confirm a release, release anyone, post bond, or pull an official booking record. For an authoritative answer, contact the government office that holds the record.

Start With the Right Records Office

For a booking record or booking photo, begin with the agency that created or now holds it. Boise County has a temporary Sheriff's Holding Facility and no standalone county public roster or county booking-photo feed was located in the official review. A person housed longer under a county agreement may instead be visible through Ada County Jail. The addresses below are source contacts, not contact information for this private site.

Boise County Sheriff's Office

3851 Highway 21
P.O. Box 189
Idaho City, Idaho 83631

Main: 208-392-4411
Records Section: 208-392-6059

Written requests are handled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Boise County Clerk/Auditor

420 Main Street
P.O. Box 1300
Idaho City, Idaho 83631

208-392-4431

Use the Clerk for court-file and county-record questions, not automatically for a Sheriff's booking photo.

Ada County public-records route

Public Safety Information Center
7200 Barrister Drive
Boise, Idaho

Roster status: 208-577-3000

Ada records requests usually take 3 to 10 business days and apply only to people booked into Ada County Jail.

A Boise County Sheriff's request must be written and specific. Include the person's full name, a date of birth or other matching detail, the arresting agency, a date or date range, and whether you want the booking or intake record, booking photograph, release record, or another item. The Sheriff's form normally calls for a written response within three business days and a best effort within ten business days when more time is needed. Advance payment may be required after two labor hours or 100 pages, and storage media can add a cost. Phone calls can help route a question, but a phone-only request is not the records request.

Where to Look for Each Record

Custody location, arresting agency, and court outcome are different facts. Use the source that matches the question and the person's custody state.

  • Boise County booking: Use the Sheriff's Records Section for a specific written request. Ask separately for the booking record and photograph. The Sheriff's Office is the agency contact, while the temporary holding facility is the local intake path.
  • Court case and disposition: Check the Idaho Courts public search and the Boise County Clerk/Auditor. A disposition means the filed court result, such as a dismissal, acquittal, plea, or judgment. It is not supplied by a roster.
  • Ada County housing: Use the Ada County Inmate Roster for people currently housed there and Ada Current Arrests for recent Ada-booked activity. These are not a complete Boise County arrest list. Ada's records process is limited to an individual booked into Ada County Jail.
  • Older county history: Check the Idaho State Archives and its searchable catalogs for transferred county, city, sheriff, court, and newspaper material. Catalog coverage is not complete, so an Archives reference request may be needed.
  • State custody: The IDOC Resident/Client Search covers sentenced state prisoners, probation, and parole. It is not the search for a just-booked Boise County person and it does not replace the local booking request.
  • Federal custody: Use the Federal Bureau of Prisons Inmate Locator for federal prisoners. It is separate from Idaho county and state records.
  • Immigration detention: Use the ICE Online Detainee Locator for immigration custody. It is a status and location tool, not a Boise County booking-photo source.
  • City records: The Idaho City public-information form names the city clerk and police chief as custodians. It lists 511 Main Street, P.O. Box 130, Idaho City, Idaho 83631, 208-392-4584, the first two hours or 100 pages free, black-and-white copies at $0.10 per page, color copies at $0.50 per page, and direct electronic costs. Horseshoe Bend City Hall is at 112 Ada Street, with 208-793-2219; no city booking-photo schedule was located. Crouch City Hall/Clerk uses 208-462-4687, and the Sheriff's Annex uses 208-462-2850. Route a Crouch law-enforcement booking question to the Boise County Sheriff.

For an emergency, call 911. Boise County Dispatch is a 24-hour safety and routing service, not a substitute for a written records request or a live custody confirmation.
