Why This Reference Exists
Idaho public-record rules can make arrest and booking information available, but public access is spread across different custodians. The Boise County Sheriff's Office creates local booking and intake records. Its Records Section is the official route when a record or photo is not displayed online. A person held longer under the county's housing agreements may instead appear in an Ada County Jail roster or current-arrests view. The Idaho Department of Correction covers sentenced state prisoners, probation, and parole, while Idaho Courts show filed cases and later dispositions.
This site organizes those source roles and explains the difference between a booking event, current custody, and a court outcome. It does not copy or host booking photographs. A booking entry is an allegation tied to an intake event, so it must not be read as a conviction.
What the Boise County Pages Cover
The page set is intentionally compact. Each page has a distinct job, and the official source remains the place to confirm a current fact.
- Home is the mega-hub. It combines the mugshot search path, booking-record guidance, the full roster and recent-bookings treatment, records requests, public-record law, and routes for state, federal, court, and transfer-housing records.
- Sheriff's Most Wanted covers the Sheriff's wanted information and the safe ways to check a possible warrant.
- Mugshots in the News explains how local reporting can lead back to the official agency, booking record, and court disposition.
- Three city pages cover Horseshoe Bend, Idaho City, and Crouch. They describe the local law-enforcement path and how a city arrest can move through Boise County intake or Ada County housing.
There are no separate roster, feed, arrest-log, warrant, removal, or facility pages in this set. The temporary Boise County Sheriff's Holding Facility and Ada County Jail contract housing are discussed where they affect the search path, without promising a facility page.
What We Cannot Do
Boise County Busted Mugshots is privately operated. It is not affiliated with the Boise County Sheriff's Office, Ada County Jail, Idaho Department of Correction, any city police department, or another local, state, or federal agency. We explain public sources, but we do not control them.
- We cannot release a person, transfer custody, post bond, or schedule a visit.
- We cannot confirm current custody, a release, a charge, or a warrant. The originating agency or court must answer those questions.
- We cannot pull an official booking record for a visitor or give legal advice.
- We cannot promise that an address, phone number, fee, roster entry, or outside link is still current.
Only the responsible Sheriff's office, jail, corrections agency, city custodian, or court can provide an official status or record. Use this guide to identify that source, then verify the result there.
Search Partners
Some search boxes on the site are supplied by outside providers. Those companies set their own prices, terms, retention practices, and results. If a visitor follows a tool to a paid signup, Boise County Busted Mugshots may receive a referral fee. That fee helps support the site and does not turn the provider into a government source or give us control over its search results.
